Pinellas Park police will go door-to-door Thursday in hopes of finding suspect who injured man

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. - Pinellas Park police are planning to go door-to-door Thursday at the Lauren Manor Apartments in hopes of generating new leads on a near fatal robbery that occurred in April.

Police say on April 18 around 11:30 a.m., a suspect committed a robbery and then critically injured a maintenance worker who was outside the complex at the time .

Donald McPherson, 63, suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was taken to an area hospital.  Police say he was hit in the back of the head with an unknown object.

The suspect took off running and was never caught.

Accompanied by the victim's son, detectives plan to pass out fliers to residents.
