Double murder suspect Jamaal Jenkins arrested in Louisiana

PINELLAS CO., Fla - The US Marshals Service arrested double murder suspect Jamaal Jenkins Friday afternoon in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

Jenkins was wanted for killing his ex-girlfriend, Desynee Burkes and her new lover, Tieyannie Hollis in January.

Investigators said Jenkins shot Burkes execution style at the La Quinta Inn on 34th Street North, and a week later shot Hollis outside Mariner's Pointe Apartments. He died days later.

Jenkins has 13 arrests on his record and a criminal history of 27 different charges that range from burglary to battery to child abuse and drugs.

Investigators said while Jenkins was in jail, Burkes started seeing Hollis which they believe was the motive behind both shootings.
