Pinellas County deputies are looking for a man who robbed an 81-year-old at an eyeglass store Monday afternoon.

At about 2:40 p.m. on May 22, an elderly man and his wife were at the Optical Outlet located at 3665 East Bay Dr. in unincorporated Largo.

The man was waiting for his wife to finish her appointment, and walked across the street to the bank where he made a withdrawal and put an envelope containing cash in his shirt pocket.

Once he was back in the store, a white man estimated to be in his early twenties walked in and sat near the 81-year-old.

The incident is captured on surveillance video, as the man suddenly snatches the envelope from the man's pocket and runs out of the store.

He is described as being 6 feet tall, 170 lbs. with a thin build. He has light hair, light skin tone, and was wearing a light blue tee shirt, tan cargo shorts, black tennis shoes, black shin high socks and a black and silver baseball hat, possibly with the Chicago Bulls logo on the front.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Detective J. Upton of the Robbery/Homicide Unit at (727) 582-6200 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS or www.crimestoppersofpinellas.org.
