Clearwater police search for woman who stole Hulk Hogan wrestling shoe

Clearwater police have released a surveillance photo of a woman they believe stole a wrestling shoe once worn by Hulk Hogan.

A woman stole the autographed shoe, valued at $5,500, on Sunday from Hogan’s Beach Shop at 483 Mandalay Ave., No. 108.

The theft occurred about 5:15 p.m. when a group of four women entered to store. Minutes later, a large statue of Hogan fell over outside the business, distracting employees, police said. That’s when the thief struck.

Police said the women involved in the theft were spring breakers from Michigan.

The employees did not realize the wrestling shoe was missing until Tuesday evening.

Police described the suspect as a heavyset white woman in her 50s with light brown hair and blonde highlights. She wore a pink T-shirt, white shorts and flip flops.
