Drivers in Pasco County will be affected by overnight construction on southbound I-75 from 11:30 p.m. Monday (9/8) night to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday (9/9) morning. Crews will be installing a sign and message board that spans over all the southbound lanes.
Drivers will be detoured off the interstate at Exit 279 (SR 54). The detour route then takes drivers east on 54, south on Bruce B. Downs, west on SR 56 and back to I-75 south.
SPECIAL NOTE: Drivers will not be able to re-enter southbound I-75 from the rest area at mile marker 278. If you don't leave the rest area by the time construction begins, you will be forced to wait at the rest area until construction ends.
