Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco: Evidence of foul play in coin dealer's disappearance

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - Pasco County detectives are looking for a Holiday man in connection with a missing Citrus County coin dealer.

The missing man is identified as Billy Shuler, 69, of Homossassa.

On Wednesday evening, Shuler told his wife he was going to Holiday in Pasco County to meet up with an associate, Tony Moresca, 51, according to Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco.

Shuler never returned home

The next day, Shuler's wife contacted Citrus County authorities who launched an investigation. Nocco said they 'pinged' Shore's cellphone and traced the signal to a storage area in Pasco County.

There, they found Shuler's 2010 Dodge Ram truck.

Nocco said there was evidence of foul play.

He said Moresca was last seen in the Tarpon Springs area.

At a news conference on Friday morning, Nocco sent Moresca a direct message. "We want to talk with you. You shouldn't be on the run if everything is OK," Nocco said.

Nocco also warned anyone who might try to help Moresca hide could face an obstruction of justice charge.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
