Three Pasco schools placed on lockdown

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - Sunlake High School, Roushe Middle School and Oakstead  Elementary School were placed on lockdown Friday morning over concerns about a possible weapon.

According to a sheriff's spokesman, a student in a trench coat at Sunlake made a comment around 10:30 a.m.that made some other students uncomfortable.

A Student Resource Officer and other officers responded but no weapon was found.

The lockdowns at Roushe and Oakstead were lifted after about 20 minutes.

At 11:30 a.m., Sunlake was still on lockdown as a precaution as a search for weapons continued.
