PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A U-Haul truck driving through a neighborhood isn’t so uncommon, but the guys in the truck that went through a Pasco County neighborhood weren’t movers, they were thieves.

Surveillance video showed two men walking up to people’s homes and swiping packages right off their doorsteps.

The shocking thing to people in the Lone Star Ranch neighborhood is that it happened in broad daylight around 4:20 on Wednesday afternoon.

Sierra Bakaitis says she’s saddened thieves would target a neighborhood full of kind, hardworking families.

"The guy looked kind of creepy. So it’s a little scary knowing that this guy just walked into the community and took things from people that wasn’t his," said Bakaitis.

The Pasco County Sheriff's office is still looking for the suspects and if anyone has any information on their identities, they are asking to please contact the Pasco crime tip line at 1-800-706-2488.

Law enforcement says to avoid thieves — have packages delivered to your work, leave a discrete note for your delivery person on where to leave the package, and require a signature.
