Pasco County deputies say an intoxicated driver fell asleep at a stoplight while his car was running

PASCO COUNTY, Fla - A 22-year-old man reportedly fell asleep at the wheel Friday night and is now accused of driving while under the influence.

Joshua Allman, of 6409 New York Street, Zephyrhills, is charged with DUI.

Pasco County deputies say they spotted a 2004 Chevy stopped in the left turning lane near U.S. Highway 301 and Clinton Avenue in Dade City.

An arrest report states the light went through four cycles and the driver did not move.

Deputies say they found Allman behind the wheel, passed out, with the car still in drive.

Allman's eyes were bloodshot, he smelled of alcohol and he admitted to having a few beers, deputies say.

Allman reportedly refused to participate in field sobriety test three times.

He was arrested.
