Florida's Tax-free Holiday starts Friday

Florida's annual tax-exempt holiday is a well-known holiday to many shoppers.

It is the time of year where shoppers can purchase electronics, clothing and back-to-school items tax-free, for three consecutive days.

The holiday begins at 12:01 a.m., Friday August 2 and ends at midnight Sunday, August 4

Before you start your shopping, make sure you know what specific items are tax-exempt.

Here is a list provided by the Florida Department of Revenue on taxable and tax-free items:

According to the FDOR , no tax is due for all clothing, footwear and accessories priced at $75 or less. The same goes for computers and related accessories selling for $750, or less.

FDOR's website also provides a QR code for shopper's smartphones to see the list of eligible items:  http://dor.myflorida.com/dor/images/gta_qr_salestax_holiday_150.jpg
