NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - Kelli Carroll wants desperately to find her missing mother. "I love her and we just want to find her we just need to know she's safe."
Geraldine Logan, known as Gerri, lives at Harbor View Mobile Manor near Gulf High School, but no one has seen her for weeks.
"We know she wrote a check for a granddaughter. November first, was the last day she's been heard from," said New Port Richey police detective Greg Williams.
Carroll filed a police report Saturday night after getting contacted by a worried friend and realizing her 69-year-old mother was gone. "I just need someone to come forward that's seen her recently so we can get a pinpoint of when she was last over here."
When Gerri's daughter got to the mobile home Saturday night, she found the car gone, the door unlocked, and something very disturbing inside.
Logan's dog, Sasha, still wearing her leash, was lying on the floor dead, possibly from dehydration.
"She loved that dog. If she went anywhere, she would have taken that dog with her. Sasha would have not been left at home by herself. My mom wouldn't have left her," said Carroll.
Police are talking to friends and neighbors and checking bank records. They say Logan, who is originally from California, was on medication, but don't know if she stopped taking it.
Kelli is doing what she can to get answers. She's ready to hang up these flyers, and she also created a Facebook page titled Find Gerri Logan.
