A Pasco County Sheriff deputy was taken to the hospital after being hit by another car just before midnight Friday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the deputy was attempting to turn onto Havanna Avenue from Moon Lake Road. At the same time a Subarau Outback was headed toward the deputy southbound on Moon Lake Road.
As the deputy attempted to turn, the Outback stuck the patrol car head on casing the Outback to rotate.
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Kevin Doll, spokesman for Pasco County Sheriff's Office, reported the deputy suffered a broken elbow and right leg.
