Deputies: Tip from Google leads to Pasco County pornography arrest

PORT RICHEY, Fla. - An employee with the Pasco County Clerk of Courts Office was arrested Tuesday and charged with transmission of child pornography.

The tip that led to the arrest of Paul Straight, 23, came from Google, according to a Pasco County sheriff's statement. The tip included Straight's IP (Internet Protocol) address.

His arrest affidavit stated that "a subject" at Straight's IP address "had transmitted an image of suspected child pornography via email."

Deputies obtained a warrant and searched his laptop computer at his Isabella Drive apartment in Port Richey.

Before his arrest, Straight told deputies that he was the sole occupant of the residence and did not share Internet access or his computer with anyone else, according to the affidavit.

Deputies said Straight's computer contained three child pornography videos.

He was taken to the Land O' lakes Detention Center.
