Deputies: Man forces estranged wife at knifepoint her to eat dinner, shoe shop

Estranged husband arrested

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - "It's very hard, very hard. I've had to live this life for a long time," said Lynn Hubbard.

Lynn Hubbard says she was about to start a new life this week-- one away from her husband of 23 years.

"On Monday, I really realized it was time. No matter what I had to get away. I never been so threatened in my life and so scared," she said.

Hubbard says when she went to talk divorce with Robert "Bo" Ball he terrorized her for hours, forcing her at knifepoint to a restaurant to eat dinner and then to buy shoes at a local Wal-Mart. Then she says Ball beat her and held her against her will inside his Pasco County Home.

"I kept laying there on the floor praying God please send your angels, watch over me and I just sat there and I cried," she told ABC Action News.

Hubbard says when her father stopped by to check on her she was able to get away. We went to the Spring Hill home and found Hubbard's car windows shattered by gunfire.  An arrest report says ball shot them out with a rifle. Deputies arrested him for domestic aggravated assault, false imprisonment and domestic battery.

"70-thousand dollar bond and he's still in jail and I hope and pray that they keep him for a while," said Hubbard.

She says she still plans on starting her new life and going to court to tell her story.

She also wants other women to know you can get out of an abusive relationship.

"I feel that if a man beats on you he has no respect, no love for you. It'll just get worse each time. Only thing I can say is you need to leave. You need to figure out a way to leave," she said.
