DADE CITY, Fla. - All over the country on the Fourth of July, people gathered to watch fireworks.
But in the opening seconds of the annual show at the Pasco County Fairgrounds, one of the canisters misfired.
The show was immediately stopped.
One of the technicians was injured and transported to a bay area hospital.
The president of the Pasco County Fair Association, Wilton Simpson, says the technician is doing well and will be out of the hospital soon.
The fireworks show will go on Thursday at 9:15 p.m. and its free.
