Boil water notice issued for the Lake Jovita area of Dade City

DADE CITY, Fla. - Pasco County Utilities is issuing a precautionary boil water notice for its customers living in Lake Jovita area of Dade City.

The boil water notice is due to a temporary electrical disruption in the utilities system.

Homeowners are advised to boil all water that is to be used for drinking or cooking. A rolling boil for one minute is sufficient.

Any icemakers should also be turned off and any ice made since noon on Tuesday should be discarded and the ice tray cleaned.

The boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows water is safe for drinking and cooking, and normal water service is restored.

For additional information, you are asked to call the Pasco County Utilities at (727) 847-8131 during normal business hours or (727) 847-8144 in the evening.
