DUNEDIN, Fla. - A traffic stop lead Pinellas County deputies to the scene of a homicide in Dunedin early Saturday morning.
Clearwater Police alerted deputies that they should make a welfare check at a home in the 1600 block of Summit Way in Dunedin after information they got from a man during a regular traffic stop.
The pulled-over driver, Arthur DeCarvalho, 26, allegedly gave information to Clearwater officers that lead deputies to find a body inside the home.
The body has been identified as David Elsey, 50. According to deputies the two had met online and DeCarvalho had told Elsey he was homeless.
Deputies are still investigating the scene.
