Safety Harbor Touch-A-Truck event invites you to explore the inside of vehicles

SAFETY HARBOR, Fla. - The City of Safety Harbor is allowing the public an opportunity to touch and climb inside vehicles they see on a daily basis including a fire engine, dump truck, garbage truck, front loader and more.

It's through the free Annual Safety Harbor Touch-A-Truck event Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Safety Harbor City Park is where you can check it out, located at 940 7th Street S. Admission and parking are free.

Vehicle operators will be on hand to explain what the vehicles are used for, how they operate, and what makes them unique.

The Safety Harbor Public Works Department, the Safety Harbor Fire Department, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, and ABC Action News will have vehicles on site for little kids and big kids to explore.

To add to the excitement of the day, a Bayflite helicopter will be landing and taking off at the event and families can ride the famous Rocketship Car for a nominal fee.

Families will also learn about safety from Pinellas County 911 and SafeKids.
