Helmeted motorcyclist robs Palm Harbor BB&T bank

PALM HARBOR, Fla. - A man wearing a motorcycle helmet and gloves robbed a BB&T bank in Palm Harbor on Monday.  The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying him.

The suspect, a white male, entered the bank at 35098 US Highway 19 North around 1:15 p.m. He was wearing blue jeans with a light blue short-sleeved shirt over a black long-sleeved shirt and gloves.  The helmet's shield was pulled down to cover his face.

He approached a teller with a black backpack and told her to fill it with money.  At one point, he lifted his shirt and displayed a black handgun in his waistband.

As he was leaving, he dropped an aerosol can labeled "Warning-Chlorine."

He was last seen leaving the area on a motorcycle southbound on US 19 and then west on Nebraska Avenue.
