They say love hurts, but nobody would expect to get beaten and robbed.

But this week, there was yet another arrest connected to social media and dating apps leading to a violent robbery.

Pinellas County deputies arrested two 18-year-old women accused of meeting a man on Facebook, luring him to a park, where two men armed with a gun hit and robbed him.

Deputies say the man went to Mobbly Park on Lafayette Boulevard where Mary Nikolovska and Sarah Ridenour got into his car. Ridenour was in the front passenger seat and asked the victim for a hug, diverting his attention from the driver's side door.

That's when two men with a gun approached, opened the door, hit the victim in the face, had him get out of his car, then stole jewelry, his wallet and his phone.

Late last week, three people were arrested for using Facebook and the dating app, Plenty of Fish, to lure men to a motel where they would be robbed. That also happened in Oldsmar.
