Police are searching for a masked man who sexually battered a woman inside her Largo home

LARGO, Fla. - Largo Police are searching for a man they say sexually battered a woman inside her Largo home near Sixth Street Northwest and West Bay Drive.

According to police, the incident happened about 5:15 a.m. Monday. Investigation revealed the suspect entered the woman's home armed with a knife. 

The suspect is approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and has a thin build. 

He was last seen wearing a black "hoodie" sweatshirt, a mask and dark colored pants. Police said he is unknown to the victim. 

"I think it's awful. I think it's sad," said Heather Davies who lives in the neighborhood where the sexual battery took place. "I hope police are doing their job and looking high and low."
