Honeymoon Island State Park hiking

Honeymoon Island State Park in Dunedin, Florida has a hiking trail called the Osprey trail which is about 3 miles long and takes about an hour to hike.

It's an easier walk though, one that children and older adults can do as well. It's most recently famous for having a bald eagle nest but always is littered with other bird nests including osprey and owls.

Honeymoon Island State Park is open 365 days a year from 8:00 a.m. until sunset. There is a fee for vehicles. You can find more information at www.floridastateparks.org .

Tampa Bay Times Outdoor Critic Terry Tomalin with the Tampa Bay Times took some bird watching friends and children on the trail in his latest everyday adventure.

You can see more of Terry's adventures on ABCActionNews.com .

Terry Tomalin also published a book outlining many different adventures you can take in Florida. That can be purchased at www.seasidepublishing.com .
