Police search for driver involved in hit-and-run that left woman with broken neck and pelvis

Clearwater Police traffic homicide investigators are searching for the driver of a vehicle that left the scene after striking a pedestrian early Sunday. 

Nekeshia Lloyd, 35, was struck by an unknown vehicle in the 1300 block of South Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue at approximately 1:30 a.m. Investigators have determined the accident happened between 1:21 a.m. and 1:41 a.m. on Sunday. 

Lloyd was found in the roadway, severely injured and she was transported to Morton Plant Hospital. 

Lloyd was placed in a medically induced coma and now remains in stable condition. She has multiple fractures including a broken neck and broken pelvis.
