LUTZ, Fla. - A crowd cheered on 2-year-old as Greco Roman Bouzakis and family took the field. The child is battling brain cancer, and he is getting waves of support.
At this coin toss, Greco is an honorary football captain for the Steinbrenner Warriors who battled Tampa Bay Tech Friday night.
Though small in stature, the 2-year-old handles his new duties like a pro.
On August 15, Greco was diagnosed with an inoperable and fatal brain stem cancer found in children.
He's currently on his 19th treatment of radiation and with 10 more in the coming weeks --parents Troy and Toni Bouzakis plan to make sure Greco lives each and every day to the fullest.
Wrestling coach and good friend Paul Noble was responsible for the sea of yellow shirts filling the stands and the game.
He sold nearly 586 "Team Greco" shirts on Friday alone--- most purchases made by students and faculty.
All the proceeds go to helping the family. Noble is moved by such support. "That could be me. That could easily be me and my family," said Noble. "He has certainly touched our hearts and it's something we will never forget," he said.
