CARROLLWOOD, Fla. - Sounds of helicopters and police cars outside Whiskey Park North in Carrollwood caught the attention of Eugene Ballard.
"It is kind of crazy that it happens that close and it's the second time within seven months," he told ABC Action News Sunday afternoon.
"I noticed there were cop cars lined up all the way down the street and they weren't letting anybody out of the parking lot," he said.
Deputies said shots rang out in the bar's parking lot just at closing time. Two men were shot and nearly 200 people were outside at the time. They said some of the bar patrons hid behind a Mercedes Benz that was riddled with bullets.
"That Mercedes Benz had 10 rounds in it," said Samara Sodos with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said 27 year old Yakim Williams and 31 year old Sheldon Willie were both shot and describe the scene as chaotic.
"There were people running around the parking lot running down Dale Mabry going back into the bar trying to seek safety," Sodos said.
Investigators found nearly 20 shell casings at the scene. It is an all too familiar image for Ballard who lives near the club.
"I was just in shock and thinking not again," he said.
Deputies said two men were shot in the same parking lot in July after a fight broke out and one of the men died.
"What if a stray bullet was to go and hit an apartment complex over there and kill somebody innocent?" said Ballard.
Ballard said something needs to be done.
"I think they need to shut this club down because if not its going to keep happening,"
Deputies continue to investigate what happened in this most recent shooting.
