Hillsborough County Deputies are investigating an overnight shooting that led to a serious crash, according to Lieutenants on scene.
The crash occurred following a shooting around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night. The crash took place on Big Bend Road near Balm Riverview Road. Only one vehicle was involved in the crash.
Emergency crews discovered that one person in the car had been shot and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies believe the incident was drug-related.
Investigators are working to gather more information at this time.
