BRANDON, Fla. - Every week, the sun shines a little brighter out at the Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center, as the "Tennis for Fun" folks flock to the clay courts for a free tennis clinic designed around athletes with special needs.
The program provides athletes with an opportunity to have fun playing tennis, learn basic skills and socialize with each other -- and it all started as a school service project for Judy Moore's son Nathan.
"There wasn't anything available for tennis for special needs athletes," she said. "So, he started the program in the Fall of 2000 and I helped him out and he left to go to college and I took it over and its been great."
It sure has. Now helping more than 75 athletes, this organization is amazing.
