I-Team: Armwood High School football Hawks team faces major violations of FHSAA

SEFFNER, Fla. - The ABC Action News I-Team has learned that the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) has notified Armwood High School of major violations that could cost them their state football championship.

An I-Team investigation last fall uncovered that senior Jack Lightsey did not make a 'full and complete move' from his parents' Orlando home to Armwood's school district as required by FHSAA.

An ensuing investigation by the FHSAA concluded that up to five Armwood players did not legally live in the school district.

If any player is ruled ineligible, FHSAA rules dictate the school forfeit every game they played in.

The Armwood Hawks went undefeated last fall to win the State 6A football championship.
