Arrest made in Seffner double murder

SEFFNER, Fla. - Hillsborough County deputies arrested Charles Foster on Tuesday.  He is suspected of murdering two friends over the weekend.

Karen Deas found her son, Joshua Deas, 24, and his roommate, Kenneth Simmons, 34, dead on the floor of their mobile home in Seffner on Sunday afternoon (see http://wfts.tv/10FLjCI).

Deputies say they found Simmons' Isuzu Rodeo near the crime scene.  Items belonging to Joshua Deas were found in a nearby dumpster.

An investigation revealed that Charles Anthony Foster, 28, recently tried to fraudulently cash a check from Simmons' checking account and withdraw funds from Joshua Deas' ATM debit card.

Foster was also seen on store surveillance video driving Simmons' vehicle and pawning personal property belonging to Deas.

After reviewing the facts of the case with the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office, Charles Foster was charged with two counts of First Degree Murder and two counts of Robbery with a weapon.

Foster was in the Falkenburg Road Jail on the unrelated Violation of Probation at the time the new charges were added.

"He would give you the shirt off his back, he would give you the last dollar out of his pocket," says Deas, of her son.  "I've been reading his Facebook page today and everybody I have talked to says they can't believe it's happened to such a nice, good person."
