After a night of drinking and drugs and clubbing, a trio of men went home, where a suspicious noise set off a scene where the three and their landlord armed themselves, according to deputies with Hillsborough County.
After hearing the noise, one of the men went outside and fired shots into the ground as a warning. However, the gun jammed and he went back inside.
Another of the men got to work to fix the jammed firearm.
Meanwhile, deputies said, the landlord of the trailer park heard the original shots, armed himself, and went to investigate.
The men inside the trailer apparently heard the landlord outside, and fired shots through the trailer, striking the landlord in the leg.
The landlord returned fire, striking one of the men in the head.
That man was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital.
The landlord was taken to South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City.
The conditions of the two injured parties have not been released.
