Three years later, Mary Buchanan is still searching for answers in her son's murder.
"We try to get through one day at a time. But it’s tough," Buchanan said. "You know, he was my baby."
Her son, Sean, 26 at the time of the murder, was stabbed leaving the Brandon AMC movie theater on May 30, 2011. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said Sean was found in his car, clinging to life. He tried to drive away after the attack but wrecked in a wooded area behind the theater.
Three years later, authorities are still searching for the murderer.
"We've solved cases that are much older than this one, and we want some closure for the family," said Debbie Carter with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. "We've provided video of an individual seen in the area after Sean came out of the theater. So hopefully someone will come forward and be able to provide some information for us."

For a grieving mother, it's hard to think of how her son was taken from the world, especially just after having a little girl. Her plea is desperate.
"I speak to the person that may know who did this. Knows of the information,” she said at the theater. “Also, to people who were here that night. You may think [a detail you noticed] is insignificant. It’s not," Buchanan said.
If you know anything about the case, no piece of information is too small, according to HCSO. Call Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS. You don't have to leave your name, and you could earn a cash reward if the information you provide leads to an arrest.
