HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. - UPDATE: The Florida Highway Patrol has identified 2 of the 3 drivers they are looking for in connection with this fatal crash.
The driver of the pickup truck has been identified as 41 year-old Michael Mercer of Wesley Chapel. He has been located by authorities.
The driver of the 3rd car involved contacted officials and has been identified as 47 year-old William S. Ridley of Tampa.
The driver of the 4th car still has not been located. Anyone with information is asked to call the FHP at 813-631-4020.
Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are searching for three drivers involved in a fatal hit-and-run early Saturday morning on Fowler Avenue east of I-75.
Amari Williams, 30, was driving his Camaro down Fowler Avenue when he collided with a 1997 GMC pickup truck. The impact caused the Camaro to overturn and threw Williams from the car.
The truck fled from the scene after the impact.
Two people who saw the crash ran to help Williams who was lying in the roadway. Before they could help him two cars ran over him. Williams suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Both cars that hit Williams fled from the scene. The witnesses described one fleeing car as a white SUV.
Troopers later found the pickup truck abandoned off Fletcher Avenue.
