Two Hernando County men have been arrested in connection to lawn equipment thefts in the area

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla - Hernando County deputies say they have arrested two men in connection to lawn equipment thefts in the area.

Jonathon Wyatt, 18, and Donald Reyburn, 47, are each facing grand theft and burglary charges.

Deputies say Reyburn, who recently bonded out of jail, provided information to deputies on the location of a stolen Gravely Turn Zero mower.  Reyburn also reportedly told deputies he had a John Deere mower at his residence that was stolen from Hernando County.

Reyburn was placed under arrest.

Deputies say they followed up information on the whereabouts of the Gravely Turn Zero mower and located it.  They say its serial number confirmed it was the stolen mower.

Hernando County detectives then made contact with Amy Phibbs, the girlfriend of Donald Reyburn.  Phibbs was removed from the Hernando County Detention Center by detectives and transported to the District Two office.

Phibbs reportedly told detectives that Jonathon Wyatt and Reyburn would ride around and look for lawn equipment to steal while she was in the vehicle with them.  When the time was right, they would return to steal the equipment.

Phibbs confirmed that Wyatt and Reyburn had stolen the Gravely Zero Turn mower and the John Deere
mentioned above.  Phibbs also provided information on several other cases, deputies say.
