Three teens arrested for 57 vehicle burglaries

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. - Three teens burglarized 57 vehicles over a two-month period, according to Hernando County deputies.

The crimes were committed from July until Tuesday of this week.

In many of the cases, windows were smashed and tires were punctured.  Similarities in the burglaries led investigators to believe they were related and an operational plan was put into place.

While on patrol Wednesday night, a deputy noticed a suspicious vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Three men were in the car.

The deputy noticed several baseball bats. One had shards of glass on it.

The deputy was allowed to search the vehicle and found stolen property from several of the crimes.

Detectives interviewed the men who confessed to the offenses, according to a sheriff's statement.  They told investigators some of the crimes were acts of retaliation.

Thomas Neve, 19, Manuel Casanova, 18, and Angel Casanova, 18, are each charged with 32 counts of burglary.  Bond for each was set at $86,000.

Further charges are pending.
