Hernando County deputies worked for over five hours to end a standoff with a man inside a Spring Hill home on Wednesday.
They responded to 8108 Tedburn Park in the Berkeley Manor subdivision around 2:30 p.m. Swat and Crisis Response teams were also called to the scene.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies were attempting to serve two felony warrants to 41-year-old Mark Anthony Rattenni for failing to appear.
Rattenni allegedly came out of the home and confronted them with a gun. He then barricaded himself inside.
"I was out there mowing the grass and the next thing you know we see an officer pull up, a bunch of sirens, then we see officers running around the neighborhood with full SWAT, full armor, guns," described neighbor Gabriel Crews.
Crisis negotiators worked for more than five hours to bring him out of the home safely.
During that time, Rattenni's mother was inside the home with him. She was removed a few hours into the standoff.
Just after 10:00 p.m., Rattenni reportedly walked out of the home and surrendered peacefully.
No one was injured.
