A Crystal River woman is accused of beating a man with a wrench and choking him with Blu Ray cord.

Shyla Solar, 39, is now facing aggravated battery charges.

Citrus County deputies say they responded to a Crystal River home Monday in reference to a disturbance when they found a man with a cut to his arm.

According to an arrest affidavit, Solar had attacked the man and attempted to choke him with the cord of a Blu Ray player.  Deputies say she then hit the man with a fan causing a cut to the man's arm and then began beating him with wrench.

A witness reportedly grabbed the wrench from Solar and locked her out of the house.

At some point, deputies say Solar got back into the house and attacked the man again, biting his chest and ear.

Deputies say they witness had to physically pry Solar's mouth open to get her to stop biting the man's ear.

Solar left the residence by the time deputies got there, an affidavit states.

Deputies were later called to a local emergency room where Solar turned up, claiming a man attached her.

Solar was arrested and is being held without bond.
