CITRUS COUNTY, Fla - A 46-year-old Homosassa man is being held without bond after deputies say he sexually violated and sodomized a woman with Down syndrome.
Patrick Dillard of 7978 W. Cyprian Court is charged with felony sexual battery on someone older than 12 years old, with the victim having a mental disability.
According to Citrus County Sheriff's deputy, the 33-year-old woman was walking in a Homosassa neighborhood Thursday and looking for someone to help her add minutes to her cellular phone. She reportedly knocked on Dillard's door.
Dillard pulled the woman into his home, turned off the lights and locked the door, an arrest report states.
Deputies say Dillard pulled the woman into his bedroom, removed her clothing and forced to engage in sex acts.
During the sexual assault, the woman told investigators that Dillard offered her money in exchange for the sex acts, an arrest report states.
Detectives asked the woman to describe Dillard's bedroom and took her to the hospital to undergo a rape examination.
When detectives questioned Dillard on Friday, he reportedly denied having any sexual contact with the woman and said she had never been in his home before. Later, the arrest report states he changed his story and told them the woman had been in his house 10 years ago.
Investigators searched Dillard's bedroom and say the woman's description matched what they found.
After denying the allegations, Dillard reportedly told one detective, "What if I did have sex with her, she's an adult?"
Dillard remains in the Citrus County Detention Center.
