Hernando County deputies say they recovered a range of narcotics after serving a search warrant

BROOKSVILLE, Fla - Methamphetamine , hydrocodone , cocaine and marijuana are just a few of the drugs Hernando Counties deputies say they found inside a Brooksville home Thursday.

Detectives with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office Vice and Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of patrol deputies and K-9, executed a search warrant at 7409 Fort Dade Avenue in Brooksville,

Detectives arrested three people and say they seized narcotics and drug paraphernalia. 

Seized items include the following:

*    Approximately 16 ounces of Methamphetamine liquid (recovered from the toilet
after subject tried to destroy the evidence)
*    5.5 grams of Hydrocodone
*    1 gram of Cocaine
*    15.3 grams of Marijuana
*    1 tablet of Alprazolam
*    16 tablets of Zolpidem (Rx)
*    8 tablets of Tizanidine (Rx)
*    Numerous items of drug paraphernalia (needles, scales, spoons, baggies,
pipes, etc.)
*    9mm Taurus Millennium semi-automatic handgun loaded with 9 rounds
*    45 caliber Dikar black powder handgun
*    One Hernando County Code Enforcement badge

Jerry Lee Dement, 54, Sharon Thomas, 42, and Michael Hayden, 29, were taken to the Hernando County Jail.

Dement is charged with: 

*    Trafficking Methamphetamine
*    Trafficking Hydrocodone
*    Possession of Cocaine
*    Possession of Alprazolam
*    Destruction of Evidence
*    Possession of Marijuana
*    Possession of Legend Drug without Prescription (2 counts)
*    Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*    Sale / Possession of Methamphetamine (Warrant, 2 counts)
*    Possession of Structure for Sale of Narcotics (Warrant, 2 counts)
*    Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Warrant, 2 counts)
*    Total Bond, $155,000

Sharon Thomas is charged with:
*    Trafficking Methamphetamine
*    Trafficking Hydrocodone
*    Possession of Cocaine
*    Possession of Alprazolam
*    Possession of Marijuana
*    Possession of Legend Drug without Prescription (2 counts)
*    Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*    Total Bond, $109,000

Michael Hayden is charged with:
*    Possession of Methamphetamine
*    Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*    Total Bond, $5,500

In addition to the items above, deputies say several items were recovered which Hayden admitted to stealing from Wal-Mart.
