Deputies arrest man wanted in woman's fatal shooting in Citrus County, thanks to tip

Tip leads to Citrus murder suspect

FLORAL CITY - The suspect accused of murdering a 24-year-old woman at a Citrus County bar was arrested in Marion County early Monday morning, thanks to a tip.

Officials initiated a search for 29-year-old Gregory Holub in the fatal shooting of Deseray Bowles after she was found dead Sunday morning.

Deputies responded to the scene at 10495 East Rabbit Lane just before 4:00 a.m. They soon found Bowles, suffering from life-threatening injuries at Sleepy Hollow restaurant and bar.

She was taken to Citrus Memorial Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Early Monday Morning, Citrus County got a tip and told Marion County Sheriff's Office that Holub was likely at the Friendship Inn in Ocala.

Patrol deputies then arrived at the inn, located on E Silver Springs Boulevard, and  found the suspect in room 14 around 3:00 a.m.

They knocked on the door and he came out to speak with them.

Holub was arrested without incident.
