Citrus deputies say two women attacked their neighbor with a knife because their dogs fought

HOMOSASSA, Fla - Citrus County deputies say two women attacked their neighbor with a knife because their dogs apparently did not get along and fought in the past.

Marjorie Morris and Joy Schneider, both of 8007 W. Windhaven Place, Homosassa, are now facing charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery.

On Sunday night, authorities say they were called out to a physical disturbance at a home on W. Windhaven Place.

A woman reportedly told deputies that Morris and Schneider came to her house, confronted her about her dog fighting with another dog, jumped her, grabbed her hair and then punched her.

The victim went on to state that Schneider broke free of the fight, ran back to her house and grabbed a 10 inch long butcher knife and returned to the fight, an arrest affidavit states.

An arrest report states that Schneider allegedly told the victim, 'I'm going to end this,' while brandishing the knife.

Apparently, an unknown bystander pulled the knife from Schneider's hands.  When the suspects heard police sirens approaching they reportedly took off running.

Deputies say an independent witness corroborated the victim's story.

Both Morris and Schneider were arrested and are eachnow being held on $5,500 bond.
