Citrus County deputies say they're looking for a man who robbed a store, hit then bound the clerk

HOMOSASSA, Fla - Citrus County deputies are looking for a man who hit a female clerk over the head with a phone, bound her and then robbed the convenience store she works at over the weekend.

It happened shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday at The Shoppe, which is located at 6441 S. Suncoast Boulevard in Homosassa.

According to the clerk, after browsing around the store, a man approached her and demanded money.  He then hit her over the back of the head with a phone, took her to a backroom and bound her hands.

The suspect reportedly left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and some jewelry.

According to the victim, the man was in his mid-to-late forties, approximately five-foot-nine with a thin build and dark hair.  He was wearing a blue t-shirt with the word Marine and other writing on it. 

He left in a small, white, possibly four-door, older vehicle.

No weapon was ever brandished and the clerk was not injured.
