Citrus County deputies say Rodney Martin, 46, used a local library's computer to upload child porn

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. - A Citrus County man was arrested twice over the past week on separate possession of child pornography charges.

Rodney Martin, 46, of 10176 N. Janice Avenue in Dunnellon, was first arrested on July 11 for allegedly using a local library's computer to upload child porn to his email account.

According to an arrest affidavit, the National Centers for Missing and Exploited Children tipped off Citrus County deputies that the man's email address had uploaded a file containing child pornography.

Deputies say when questioned, Martin admitted he created the email account but could not recall uploading the file.

Using an IP address, detectives reportedly tracked the location of where the upload took place, the Citrus Springs Library, on May 29.

Detectives said they obtained the library log book and it showed Martin signing in on the same day.

When questioned again about uploading a naked picture of a prepubescent boy, Martin told detectives he probably uploaded the picture but did not remember, deputies said.

Martin reportedly told police he had more child porn images stored on his cell phone and that he had received them through emails with other collectors, the arrest report states.

Detectives say Martin also confessed to trading child pornography over the internet.

After getting a warrant to search Martin's phone this week, forensic experts say they found numerous child porn videos and pictures stored on the phone.

Martin is being held on $10,000 bond.
