Citrus County deputies say a man made a sexually explicit video with a 4-year-old

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. - A 30-year-old Citrus County man is accused of making a nearly hour long video at his home and then uploading it to the internet.

Lyle Bennett III of Crystal River was arrested Tuesday.  He is facing multiple charges including sexual battery on a person under 18 years of age, distributing sexual materials featuring a child and molestation.

Deputies received a cyber tip from the Central Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force indicating that a homemade pornographic video was found on the internet depicting sexual abuse of a child.

The 49 minute video shows Bennett touching himself and then performing sex acts with a 4-year-old boy.

The tip indicated that at the very beginning of the video, Bennett's name appeared on screen.  In addition, detectives learned Bennett had a profile on a video messaging site.

Polk County Sheriff's deputies obtained a copy of the video and worked in conjunction with deputies in Citrus County to apprehend Bennett.

The child's mother was located and shown screen shots of the video.  According to investigators, the mother identified Bennett and her child.  She was also able to tell investigators the location where the video was shot,  which is in Citrus County.  It is unclear if the boy's mother knew about the video or the sexual abuse.

At the time of Bennett's arrest, detectives say he was babysitting the child who appeared in the video.

Investigators tried questioning Bennett but say he was too intoxicated to answer any questions.

Bennett is being held without bond.
