A Fox Chapel Middle School student is facing arson charges, according to Hernando County deputies

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla - Hernando County deputies say a 13-year-old set fire to a school restroom Tuesday while other students were in the restroom.
The Fox Chapel Middle School student is now facing arson charges.
ABC Action News is not naming the teen because he is a juvenile.
Through investigation, detectives say they learned the teen set a fire in a trash canthat was located in a restroom of the 200 building. The fire was set whilethe restroom and the building were occupied by students and staff members.
Other students that were in the restroom when the fire was set extinguished it, deputies added.
As a result of the students quickly extinguishing the fire, there were noinjuries. The school did not have to be evacuated, and there was nosignificant damage to the school.
The teen was transported to the Hernando County Detention Center.
Contact wasmade with the Department of Juvenile Justice and it was determined thatthe teen would be detained in secure juvenile detention.
