Romney event tonight in St. Pete

ST. PETERSBURG - The set up is underway and talk about a nice scenic spot to showcase St. Petersburg. Mitt Romney's Friday evening speech is right by the Pier at Spa Beach Park. It's palm trees and politics with the election one month away.

Trina Andrews has a baby sitter and now she's got two tickets to see Romney in St. Pete.
"I felt compelled to stop here and compelled to go, I never went to any rally. I'm really excited. I really am."

Fresh off a debate many saw as a Romney victory, the Republican presidential nominee returns to Florida.

He'll  speak in Apopka Saturday and Port St. Lucie on Sunday.

By first, an early evening speech at the waterfront setting. Tickets are free and at the campaign office in St. Petersburg, they've been going faster:

"Yesterday was a full house from the morning until close last night. We were out of here like 11:00 pm. People kept coming," said campaign volunteer Sau Tuiolosega.

"It's exciting to see him here in town, and I'd like to support him," said supporter Don Mullholland.

Many Romney supporters are even more energized after Wednesday's debate. Deborah Wilcox got two tickets first thing Friday morning ready to hear more. "Just his plans for the future and what he's going to do, when he wins. You are confident? Yes I am."

"This is like the most important election in our history, and it's important to reach out to everybody and get everybody excited. And really make the right decision this time," said Andrews.
