Person pepper sprayed in possible road rage incident in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla - A man was arrested after pepper spraying, kicking and pointing a gun at cars in an apparent road rage incident in Tampa.

It happened at around 1:30 p.m.  this afternoon.  Tampa police responded to al call of a fight at Armenia Avenue and West Kennedy Boulevard.  The victim reported that a driver of a silver Honda, Andre Rivera of Riverview, FL, pepper sprayed him, kicked him in the head, chased him and threatened him with a gun. 

Rivera drove a short distance from that scene and kicked a second person at Jackson Street East and North Morgan Street.  Rivera continued down the road and was pointing a gun at people at Channelside Drive and North 12th as well.

Officers pulled Rivera over at Adamo Drive and South 22nd Street.  In Rivera’s car was a loaded Glock .40 caliber handgun, an ASP tactical Baton, 3 cans of pepper spray, 2 loaded magazines and a knife.

Rivera was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.  No one was injured in the attacks.
