Zack Perry joined ABC Action News as a digital reporter for Taste and See Tampa Bay. With six years worth of award-winning journalism under his belt, he has produced extensive content across Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas.
Since 2011, Zack has worn many different hats in television and digital news, including morning and evening producer, photographer, digital reporter and studio tech.
Before moving to Tampa, Zack got his start in his hometown of Springfield, Missouri, at KY3-NBC, where he helped launch a sports website and TV show called Ozarks Sports Zone. After three years, he went on to jumpstart a news department at FOX 5 - KRBK in Springfield as the 9 p.m. producer. He then made his jump to Kansas City to work at 41 Action News - KSHB as the morning show digital producer.
Zack’s work in Springfield and Kansas City has won numerous awards for best local website in the state of Missouri (MBA) and Kansas (KAB).
Zack graduated from Missouri State University in 2015 with a degree in Public Relations. He also studied abroad at Oxford Brookes University, where he had the unique chance to backpack through 14 European countries. Furthermore,Zack was an All-American speech and debate competitor and nationally-recognized coach.
What he enjoys most in life is food, travel and culture. Zack loves to play frisbee, go bike riding and relax at the beach (preferably with a beer or margarita in hand).
