NFL player DeAngelo Hall will need surgery after an injury sustained during a late night trip for a slice of pizza, Sports Illustrated reports.

Hall, a Washington cornerback, slipped in his kitchen and re-tore his Achilles tendon. He was still mending from a previous Achilles injury in a Sept. 21 game.

Washington coach Jay Gruden said Friday that Hall might be well enough to play at the beginning of next season.
