We all know about "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday," but did you know there was a day dedicated to help you get over that retail hangover to give back? Tuesday, November 29 marks "Giving Tuesday."

The charity-focused day, celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, encourages everyone to give back to their communities during the holidays.

"Giving Tuesday" was started in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation.

Facebook has created a special section in your news feed to check out local and national fundraisers. Here's a quick link to get to there

Here at ABC Action News, we've teamed up with the Salvation Army to take action for local families in need. The Salvation Army's Angel Tree is a volunteer-driven program. People from all over the Tampa Bay area are donating their time, toys and their expertise to help our neighbors in need.
