Austin Sigg to be sentenced for killing Jessica Ridgeway in October 2012

GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) - Relatives of a 10-year-old Colorado schoolgirl who was kidnapped and killed last year are to testify at a sentencing hearing for Austin Sigg, the teenager who confessed to the crime that panicked thousands in Denver's western suburbs.

Sigg has pleaded guilty to the grisly October 2012 slaying of Jessica Ridgeway in Westminster. Some of the girl's remains were found in a park five days after she disappeared. More were hidden in a crawl space of the home of Sigg's mother, where Sigg lived.

The 18-year-old will be sentenced after what's expected to be an emotional hearing beginning Monday. He faces up to life in prison.

Sigg also pleaded guilty to attacking a 22-year-old jogger at a Westminster park in May 2012.
